| The small Mini Porter is now available. The construction kit from aerobel consists of elegant, precisely laser-cut wooden parts, all the necessary pine wood flat rods as well as the balsa wood needed for a (partial) covering of the assembled model aircraft. The kit also includes the landing gear (with the wheels), a steerable tail wheel and an extruded cabin hood made of plastic.

It was only possible to design the small Pilatus PC-6 by using poplar plywood with a thickness 1.5 mm = 0.059 inch specially made for aerobel as well as very slim pine wood flat rods also manufactured for this purpose. These parts made it possible to design an extremely light-weight but yet sturdy model aircraft easy to fly.

As the larger PC-6 models from aerobel the Pilatus Mini Porter is equipped with large landing flaps allowing a soft landing comparable to that of the original aircraft. A small detail worth mentioning: In spite of the small size of this model, the wings can be removed and are divided into two sections. |
It is almost obvious that the small Mini Porter comes with a streamlined empennage. Even the delicate ribs of the
rudder have cut-outs in order to reduce weight and make it look prettier.

A model aircraft from aerobel easy to fly but which is almost too beautiful to do so.
You must really convince yourself to put a covering onto its beautiful, delicate internal structure made of poplar
plywood, thus hiding these fine details.
