| Many owners of an aerobel PC-6 Pilatus Porter with a wing span of 2 m (80 inches) think that it is in fact a pity to cover its beautiful inside structural framework with foil.
It is exactly for this reason that we have designed a Pilatus Porter featuring half this size, small enough to hang it on the ceiling for decoration purposes.
This is part of the truth only. In spite of its smaller size - featuring a wing span of roughly 40 inches - the new model is fully airworthy. As its bigger counterpart it can be equipped with an electric motor. Its low weight and docile character make it easy to fly. Fans of Pilatus model aircrafts will love it.

Since we are talking about Pilatus and Porter PC-6 here more exciting news: aerobel plans to put
an enlarged version of this popular aircraft on the market very shortly offering a wing span around 3 m (roughly 10 feet).
We have found a way to realize this size by maintaining at the same time an extremely low weight. The partly covered
basic structure will just weigh 2.8 kg = 6 pounds.
This big-size Porter PC-6 will be of interest to all model makers who love to assemble big models but hate to
do it in a complicated way.
All three PilatusPC-6 models from aerobel use the same basic structure but certain modifications were
necessary in each case in order to ensure sufficient sturdiness and reliability in spite of their low weight. |
