| Its‘ done again: a new model aircraft from aerobel has just had its maiden flight. Test flights and maiden flight of our “Star Trainer” were fully successful.
For once, we have not built a model aircraft to scale but have designed it according to our own ideas. Our main focus was easy assembly. This model aircraft also offers excellent flight characteristics and is easy to navigate. In other words: a typical training aircraft which will inspire both beginners and experienced model makers.
The “Star Trainer” features a wing span of 2 meters = approx. 6.5 feet, weighs 4-5 kg (8.8 - 11 lb) and is able to fly without aileron. The wings can be removed and divided into two sections facilitating transport.

The engine can either be an electric motor or a two-stroke or four-stroke combustion engine. The fixed landing
gear did not give any problem on the grass airstrip used for the test flights. We use of course a steered nose wheel which is
standard for a model aircraft of this size.
In spite of the simplicity of the design, we have not made any concession with regard to precision. The laser-cut parts fit perfectly and can
be assembled and glued together without reworking them.
Foil will be used for the covering of the entire model aircraft. If you do not want to hide the beautiful laser-cut framework completely,
we recommend you to partly use transparent foil. The “Star Trainer” will thus become an even more attractive eye-catcher.
